The 4×1 4K HDMI Switcher with Auto-Switching & Analog/Digital Audio De-Embed from Key Digital is a high-performance, four-input HDMI switcher that supports up to DCI 4K30v 12-bit 4:4:4 video, or up to DCI 4K60 8-bit video. It also accepts SD and HD video over HDMI as well as VESA resolutions such as VGA, SVGA, XGA, WXGA, SXGA, and UXGA, while supporting a maximum data transfer rate of 18 Gb/s. It supports HDR10 (High Dynamic Range), which allows the unit to pass signals with a greater range of luminance values than an SDR signal.

The KD-S4X1X-2 features front-panel control, CEC-pass-through as well as IR control using the included IR remote control unit. It is HDCP 2.2 compliant and features 15 selectable EDID handshakes available in addition to the native EDID data that the switcher copies from the connected output display. The full buffer system manages TMDS re-clocking / signal re-generation, HDCP authentication to source and display, and EDID control handshake. The switcher supports a variety of lossless compressed digital audio formats including Dolby and DTS. Auto-switching with hot plug detection enabled (Forced HPD) allows the switcher to automatically switch to a new input when it is connected to a hot video signal.
